Looking for a delicious recipe to try these school holidays? Try our chocolate chip cookies... because there's nothing better than a freshly baked chocolate chip cookie straight out of the oven!

Ingredients:

  • 125g butter at room temperature
  • 1 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 250g dark and white chocolate chips combined

 Method:

  1. Line a baking tray with baking paper
  2. Preheat oven to 180 degrees
  3. Place butter and sugar in a bowl and beat with an electric mixer until light and creamy. Scrape down the sides to ensure all ingredients are thoroughly mixed
  4. Add the vanilla and egg, and beat again
  5. Sift flour, baking powder and salt over the butter mix and stir until just combined, then fold through the chocolate
  6. Measure the cookie dough with a tablespoon and roll into balls, then place onto the baking tray 3cm apart. Flatten slightly with a fork
  7. Bake for 10 - 15 minutes until the edges start to turn golden. Remove from the oven straight away and let cool (or try one while they're warm, you won't be disappointed!)
